This presentation focuses on the integration of harm reduction principles into therapy to better support clients facing substance use challenges.     Michelle Charbonnier is a licensed therapist, speaker, and Executive Director of the Missouri Network for Opiate Reform and Recovery. With over nine years of experience in mental health and harm reduction, Michelle has dedicated her career to supporting individuals impacted by substance use and advocating for compassionate, evidence-based approaches to care.

    Her work focuses on integrating harm reduction principles into therapeutic practice, emphasizing the importance of meeting clients where they are, reducing stigma, and fostering trust. Michelle’s approach prioritizes client autonomy and collaboration, empowering individuals to define their unique paths to healing and recovery.

    Through her leadership and clinical expertise, Michelle has become a trusted resource for therapists and organizations looking to implement harm reduction strategies in their practice.
