Michelle Solomon, LICSW

Owner, Roots of Compassion Therapy
Michelle Solomon comes with almost a decade background in inpatient behavioral health settings, graduating from Western Washington University in 2014 and kickstarting her career doing group therapy for adults as a recreation therapist. After working five years in inpatient and partial hospital settings, she went back to get her MSW at the University of Washington and graduated in 2020. Michelle spent three years post-grad working another inpatient hospital setting, thoroughly assessing patients for suicide risk and completing safety plans with her patients and their natural supports prior to discharge. She left her position in June 2023, passed her LICSW exam, then launched her private practice, Roots of Compassion Therapy, at the very end of 2023. She sees adult clients in Washington with bipolar disorder, stress and burnout, and those who are supporting a loved one in crisis, in addition, to providing professional consulting for mental health professionals who need assistance with safety planning, complex suicide cases, and assessing for a higher level of care. This is a topic near and dear to Michelle, and she is excited to share, in hopes this can help better support you in the setting you are in!
